This barn has several unique features. First it is one of the few, if not the only, authentic brown Mail Pouch barn. Second, this is the only Mail Pouch barn that Harley numbered. (17,121) The story goes something like this: Harley was contracted to paint the Mail Pouch sign on the barn. On completion, the owner wanted Harley to number it. Harley had no idea of the exact number of barns that he had painted, but gave no clue to this lack of knowledge as he put the number under his signature. The owner was happy, Harley grinned, and the number is still visible today. In relaying the story years later, Harley said, 'the damn fool wanted a number, so I gave him a number.'
