Other Information

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

The Mail Pouch barn, other buildings and the site configuration are all clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1960). The distance measurment tool was used to obtain the decimal coordiantes. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.

Photo 3 is a view taken from IN-62 looking in at the location where the barn once stood.

because of the location and the configuration of the barn to IN-62, it is possible that there was a Mail Pouch sign on the west side of the barn.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the north side of IN-62 northeast of the 3rd St./IN-545 intersection, in St. Meinrad, by 1.3 miles. The barn was on the left side of IN-62 headed away from St. Meinrad. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. Black background.
