Other Information

The Ohio Dept. of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to determine the location of this barn. In photo 4 the barn is circled in yellow, in Photo 5 the spot where the barn was once located is circled in yellow. In both photos the house which still remains is circled in red. In Photo 6 (Google satellite image) the previous location of the barn is marked by the red pin. This was used to determine the address and the coordinates. Photo 5 is a March 1, 1988 photo which shows that the barn had been razed and removed by that date.

Photo 3 is a view of one of the few remaining brick portions of the 'Old National Highway' (US Rt. 40).  Norm Zimmerman reported that the barn was located very close to this section of the old brick road. Peackcok Rd (old brick US-40) https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=98596 is 500' northeast of this barn.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the southeast side of E. Pike Rd (US-40) east of the I-77 46A interchange by 3.2 miles. The barn was southwest of Peacock Rd. (old red brick US-40) by 500'. The barn was on the right side of the highway headed northeast. One Mail Pouch sign southwest end. One Mail Pouch sign northwest side. Black background.
