Other Information

The information on the old Post Card states that the view is along McMahon Creek. A study of the details in the photo reveals the probable location of the building with the Mail Pouch sign toward the center of the photo. The view is looking down the creek toward the RR bridge, which exists to this day and is circled in 'Lime' on Photo 2. The view (in Photo 1) is taken from the old OH Rt 7 bridge (circled in 'Red') spanning McMahon Creek. Photo 3 (Google satellite image ca. 2020) shows that the RR bridge remains. OH Rt. 7; however, other than the general routing, has changed significantly. Photo 1 is a view from the old OH Rt 7 bridge looking toward the RR bridge and the Ohio River. The 'Yellow' circle on Photo 2 is an approximate location of the building with the Mail Pouch sign. The 'Red' Google pin on Photo 3 approximates the location to develope the location and coordinates. Also note on Photo 2 the 'White' circle which is the aproximate location of what is very possible another building with a Mail Pouch sign along old OH Rt. 7. Note to the left in Photo 1
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the north bank of McMahon Creek. At the time of the photo there was street access to the site; however, the entire area has been cleared. The Mail Pouch sign faced west. It is possible there was a Mail Pouch sign on the east side of the building. Black background
