Other Information

Historic Aerials' imagery was used to locate this barn. Barn was clearly shown and the distance Measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates for the barn. The coordinates were used in both the Google map program and also the Google Earth Pro website. The red pin on Photo 6 is the exact location where the barn once stood. The the Google Earth Pro historical aerial imagery was researched and the US Geological Survey aerial images show the barn still existing in April 1998 (Photo 4); however, by Dec. 2001 the barn was down (Photo 5). In reviewing Photo 5 it appears that either the barn burned down, or the barn was razed and the rubble subsequently set on fire. Notice the darkness at the center of the pile of barn rubble in Photo 5.

Photo 3 is a November 2021 view looking in at the site.
