Other Information

Photos 1, 3 & 5 are enlarged inset views from Photos 2, 4 & 6.

This barn was originally painted back in the 1950's and perhaps as long ago as the late 1940's. The Ohio Dept. of Transportation aerial photo archives have been searched from the 1940's through the 1990's for views of the signs on the barns; however, there was only one view, dated Apr. 20, 1965 where the sign was very barely visible on the east end.

From the views and available information it can be inferred that the barn was originally painted in the ca. 1950's and was originally painted with Mail Pouch signs on both ends and on the south side. Photos 3 & 4 are 1969 views which show that prior to the date of those photos the Kentucky Club sign was painted on the southern side of the barn.

Photo 9 (by Mark Comstock) is the only view of the west end of the barn.
Where to find it

*GONE (fallen)* Along the north side of OH-43 west of the OH-152 intersection, In Richmond, by 4.8 miles. The barn was on the right side of the highway headed west from Richmond. Two ends. One side. Black Backgrounds.
