Other Information

The barn was built in 1885 by landowner Rudolf

H. Springer and thus is known as the Springer

Barn.

Coordinate are approx. The site is the only location in the vicinity of Mile marker 7 that has the features noted in the photograph and could support the barn.

Marcia Fasy reported that a month after the award winning photograph of the barn, that this art print is based on, a light snow collapsed it, and it was lost forever.

Was initially incorrectly assigned the ID of MPB 37-09-01.

Where to find it

*GONE (fallen and removed)* On the Azalea-Glen Rd. which was once US Rt. 99. I-5 replaced the US highway and runs parallel to the old road (east of it). To find the barn exit I-5 on exit 80 and head north on Azalea-Glendale Rd. The barn is near mile marker 7. One end. Black.
