Other Information

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to determine the location of this barn. The site configuration and buildings shown in Photo 2 are clearly shown in Photo 4. In Photo 4 the Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow, the house across the road is circled in red and the small barn adjacent to the Mail Pouch barn is circled in lime.

On Photo 5 the Mail Pouch barn is located by the red pin. All the buildings shown in Photo 2 have now been razed and removed. The Mail Pouch barn had an addition and in an Oct. 2012 view the barn was still existing. In Photo 3 a view of the end of the barn shows the very faded word 'CHEW' below the vent opening at the end of the barn. Sometime after Oct. 2012 the barn was razed and removed. The smaller barn and the house across the road had been removed at an earlier date. In Photo 5 the red pin is used to deterrmine the address and the coordinates of the barn. The red circle shows the former location of the house shown in Photo 2; and, the lime circle shows where the small barn once was located.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the northeast side of West Rd (OH-83) south of I-70 interchange 169 by 0.9 mile. The barn was on the left side of the road headed south from I-70. The Mail Pouch sign faced southeast. One end. Black Background.
