The sign was repainted by his son (Zim), his grandson and his great-grandson in the spring of 2003 (Photo 1).
Photo 6 appeared in the July August issue of 'Timeline' magazine. The caption under the photograph reads 'Mail Pouch painter for thirty-five years, Zim estimated that he and his crews had done twelve thousand barns. In 1975 he painted a final sign on his son's small barn'
