Other Information

In Photo 21 (Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo) the barn is circled in yellow. The small barn to the right of the Mail Pouch barn in Photos 1, 2 & 5 is circled in red.

Photo 22 may be a view of the only piece of wood siding left of the Mail Pouch sign. During the Nov. 1998 visit to the site, by Lonnie Schnauffer and Dave Tower, Dave picked up the small piece (which still has traces of white and yellow paint) and carried it home. During a subsequent visit to the site a few months later the barn was gone, having further fallen and been destroyed by a controlled burn. It is unknown if anyone salvaged any parts of the Mail Pouch sign before it was burned.

Where to find it

*GONE (fallen and burned)* Along US Rt. 22 (Cadiz Rd.) southwest of OH Rt. 800 by about 1.8 miles. The barn was on the left side of the road headed southwest. One end. One side. Black.
