Other Information
Historic Aerials imagery (1969) was used to determine the location of the barn. The barn and other buildings are clearly shown. The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the Decimal Coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and on Photo 8 the red pin is the exact location where the barn once stood.
This barn was known as the 'CHEW' farm.
Photos 6 & 7 were provided for coordination with Photo 4. The house in the photo is circled in red and still remains. Photo 6 the barn is circled in yellow. The two small outbuildings to the right and left of the barn in Photo 4 still remain and are circled in blue in Photos 6 & 7.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the east side of old state rte. 66 south of the Sheridan Rd. (PA-66B) intesection by 1.2 miles. The barn was on the left side of Sheridan Rd. headed south from the intersection. The Mail Pouch sign faced northwest. One side. Black background.
