Other Information
The site was cleared for the Nutter Fort Library and commercial construction.
The Mail Pouch barn, the small barn with the shed addition and the tree are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1955). The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates for the Mail Pouch barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 2 is the location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood. The pin was used to determine the entry address.
Where to find it
*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the west side of Buckhannon Pike (WV-20) south of the WV-98 intersection, in Nutter Fort, by 0.3 mile. The barn was on the right side of Buckhannon Pike headed southeast from WV-98. The Mail Pouch sign faced southeast. One end. Black background.
