Other Information

The building with the Mail Pouch sign and the other buildings in the Photo 1 are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1956). The building was razed and removed to allow for the construction of a second traffic lane for N. West St. The distance measurement tool was used and the decimal coordinates for the Mail Pouch sign location were obtained. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 3 is the exact location where the Mail Pouch sign was located. Note on Photo 3 that the pin is in the added traffic lane. Note also, on Photo 2, looking southeast on N. West St. there is a red circle which is the approximate location of where the Mail Pouch sign was once located. Neither the Google map program, nor the Bing Map program were able to give approximate address information since the red pin coordinates are in the street.
Where to find it

*GONE* Along the east side of N. West. St. at the intersection with Indiana Ave, in Indianapolis. The Mail Pouch sign faced west. Two-story brick building. Black backgkround.
