Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.
The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to pinpoint the location of where this barn was located.
Photo 3 is the only ODOT photo with a view of the barn, wnich is circled in yellow toward the top of the view.
Photo 4 is an ODOT aerial photo taken May 5, 1969 which shows that the barn was gone by that date. The yellow circle is the location where the barn once stood. The small building to the right of the Mail Pouch barn in Photo 2 is circled in lime. The existing house, shown in Photo 2, which still remians is circled in red; and, the new house on the site is circled in blue.
Photo 5 is a Google satellite image. In the view the location of where the Mail Pouch barn was located is noted by the red pin. The pin was used to determine the address and coordinates. The red circle notes the existing house, still remianing which was noted in Photo 2. The blue circle is around the newer house that was built on the site ca. 1956. There is a small group of trees and or shrubs which is circled in lime and is probably the remains or foundation of the small building to the right of the Mail Pouch barn in Photo 2.
Where to find it *GONE*(razed and removed) Along the north side of US-40/US-22 east of the intersection with OH-83, in New Concord, by 1.0 mile. The barn was on the left side of a highway, on a hill in the distance, headed east out of New Concord. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. One side. Red Background.
