Other Information

This was a very old and unique Mail Pouch sign. Note toward the bottom of the wall the phrase "CLEAN LASTING CHEW". There are only two other Mail Pouch signs that this author can think of which use the same phrase: MPS 15-56-01 in Ft. Madison, Iowa; and, on the historic Baker Opera House, MPS 30-14-01 in Morris County, New Jersey.

Photo 2 shows some faded 'ghost sign' imagery still on the building which by Aug. 2013 (Photo 3) had been sandblasted away. Photo 4 is the most recent Google street view available. (2023).
Where to find it

*GONE* (sandblasted away) At the southwest corner of the S. Michigan St. and Laporte St. intersection, in Plymouth. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. One side. Black backbround.
