Other Information

On one side the MP sign is painted on the roof. On the other side the words 'CHEW MAIL' are on the roof and the word 'POUCH' is on the side of the barn. This barn was demolished due to strip mining.

The ODOT aerial photos (https://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Engineering/CaddMapping/Pages/Public-Aerial-Image-Requests.aspx) for the 1960's and 1970's were researched from the Ohio River, on the eastern boundry of Belmont County, west to Fairview, Ohio, which is just west of the western edge of Belmont County. All State Routes and US Rt 40 in the vicinity of I-70 were also checked. In addition, the list of stip mines in Belmont County was researched to determine where these mines may have occured along I-70. The barn, which should have been clearly visible in the aerial photos does not show up in any of the available ODOT aerial photos.
Where to find it
