MPB 35-07-12

Roger Warrick stopped by this barn MPB 35-07-12 after the annual Barnstormer's picnic, on July 28, 2024, and spoke to barn owner, Richard Wells He has been working on restoring the barn, inside and out, and would like to get the Mail Pouch sign repainted, which is probably the easiest part of the whole restoration, The barn has a new roof, new support beams, foundation, and a remodeled interior. Amish built doors ready. It's not going anywhere. It might become either a bait shop ( couple of lakes up 800 ) or just become his "Old Barn" to pass on. It's currently not super visible coming up the OH-800; however, he owns the adjacent property and has no issue removing everything that blocks the view of the sign. Roger thinks that Richard's main thing is finding a painter that can re-paint it for him.Richard can provide a cherry picker for the painter's use. Richard would like to know something by Spring 2025. Hopefully these plans can be realized and the Mail Pouch sign restored. (7/30/2024 note)
