Other Information

Photo 2-4 by Vintage Aerial are views showing the barn. Unfortunately none of the views show the east end of the barn with the Mail Pouch sign. This is positively identified as the Mail Pouch barn in photo 1. The site structures in photos 1-4 are all identified. The site has been cleared with the exception of the small barn/shed to the left rear of photo 1. This building was enlarged (see photo 6) and compared with the building remaining on the site (see enlarged photo 7). The section of vertical siding on the left of the building clearly visible in photo 7 is partially visible in photo 6. In addition the horizontal head board at the peak of the building is clearly visible in both photos. Another clue to the confirmation of the barn in photo 1 being the same barn as in photos 2-4. Note in photo 1 the windows with the white trim. It appears that these windows were probably added after the Mail Pouch sign was painted on the barn. View the windows in the barn in photos 2-4 and you will note they are the same size and have the same white trim as the barn photo 1.

Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) US-322 (Mayfield Rd.) east of OH-534 intersection, in Windsor, by about 1.6 miles. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed east. The Mail Pouch sign faced east. One end. Red Background.
