Other Information

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

The Mail Pouch barn, other buildings and the site configuration are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1955). The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 3 is the location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.

Historic Aerials' imagery shows that the barn had been razed and removed by 1986.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the east side of 28 Mile Rd (MI-99) south of the Erie St. intersection, in Albion, by 5.1 miles. (note that 28 Mile Rd. becomes S. Superior St. on the southern outskirts of Albion.) The barn was on the left side of 28 Mile Rd. headed south out of Albion. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. One end. Black background.
