Other Information

Photo 2 is a view of the site with the Mail Pouch barn toward the rear center of the photo, with the Mail Pouch sign on the opposite side. The Mail Pouch barn other buildings and the site configuration is clearly visible in Historic Aerials imagery dated 1956 & 1981. The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the exact location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.

The Mail Pouch sign was visible from US-231 headed south toward the intersection with IN-18. The site is heavily overgrown with trees and shrubs. In one historic aerial view it appears that the barn may have fallen ca. 2007; however, this can not bee confirmed; and, if it did fall it can not be seen if the rubble remains or if it has been removed.

Photo 3 is a view taken from US-231 looking in toward where the barn once stood.
Where to find it

*GONE* At the northeast corner of the US-231 & IN-18 intersection. The Mail Pouch sign faced north. One side. Blackbackground.
