Other Information

The barn is located as noted in the information provided by Tom Plimpton with the photo. The barn is clearly visible in Historic Aaerials' imagery dated 1958 & 1984; however, it had been razed and removed by 1992. The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the eact location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.

Photo 2 is a view of the side of the barn. Unfortunately it is the only view available for this barn in the Vintage Aerial archives.

Photo 3 is a view from IN-68 looking in toward where the barn once stood.
Where to find it

*GONE* Along the south side of IN-68 west of Yellowbanks Trail intersection (at the Pigeon Township Volunteer Fire Dapartment), in Selvin, by 0.4 mile. The barn was on the left side of IN-68 headed west from Selvin. Mail Pouch sign was on the west end of the barn. Black background.
