Other Information

The original barn was located on the farm of Kathy Ridley's grandfather. When the barn was razed in the late 1970's the MP sign was removed and used as paneling in the Ridley basement.

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2, and Photo 3 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 4.

The barn (with the stand out white roof stripes), the house and the site configuration is clearly shown in Historic Aerials' imagery dated 1975. The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 7 is the exact location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood. Photo 6 is a view from US-36 looking in at the site where the barn once stood. There is a new house on the site.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the north side of E US-36 east of the intersection with IN-71 (just south of Dana) by 1.2 miles. The barn was on the left side of US-36 headed east from IN-71. The Mail Pouch sign faced east.  One side. Red background.
