Other Information

The barn is clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery. The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates for the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 6 is the exact location where the barn once stood.

Photo 2 by Dan Carraco was featured in the August 1982 issue of Smithsonian Magazine.

Historic Aerials' imagery dated 2009 shows the site cleared.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the northwest side of IN 156 northeast of IN 184 (Florence-Warsaw Bridge) by 3.2 miles. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed northeast. The Mail Pouch sign faced southeast. One end. Red background.
