GPS and map location approximate and are based on Larry Zinn's location description as NY Rt 417 at Vandalia along the north side of the highway. In addition, the Google street views looking north to the features in the distance, as well as the Mail Pouch sign visibililty from the highway, make the selected coordinates the most likely location for the barn. Finally; the dead tree on the bank, in Photo 6 (Google street view 2009) looks remarkably similar to the live tree, on the bank, in Photo 3.
