Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

The wall at the street in the photo is in front of the old Wheeling Jail. It was located on Market St. and was demolished sometime during the late 1890's or early 1900's to make room for the Schmulbach Building which was erected during the period 1904-07. The building has changed hands over the years; however, it still exists. The location of this building was used to estalish the approximate GPS coordinates for the entry.

Where to find it

*GONE* WV-2 (Market St.) just north of the intersection with 12th St., in Wheeling. The wall with the sign was on the right side of the street headed north. The sign faced west. Black background.
