Other Information
Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.
In Photo 2 the building at the extreme left is the US Post Office. On the right side of the photo, the Trinity Episcopal Church is visible. These landmarks were referenced in providing the location of the Mail Pouch sign. The building is clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1955). The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the building. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the location where the building with the Mail Pouch sign once stood.
The white building with the Coca Cola sign, shown in Photos 1 & 2, is still existing. Photo 3 is a 2023 view of the building. The building with the Mail Pouch sign was adjacent to and tight to the white building, and has been razed and removed.
Where to find it
*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the northwest side of Juliana St. just northeast of the 5th St. intersection, in Parkersburg. Masonry building. Black background. The Mail Pouch sign faced southwest.
