Other Information

The Mail Pouch barn and the house in the background are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1986). The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates for the Mail Pouch barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 3 is the location where the barn once stood.

Old historic imagery shows that S. Royalty Rd. was the original route of IN-61. IN-61 route was straightend out and shifted to the east. When IN-61 was in its original route location the barn was in an ideal viewlng location for the Mail Pouch sign. Subsequent to the location the barn and house were razed and removed and the view in Photo 2 is a view from S. Royalty Rd. looking in at where the Mail Pouch barn was located.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the east side of S. Royalty Rd. just south of IN-61 intersection. The barn was on the left side of S. Royalty Rd. headed south from I-61. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. One end. Black background.
