Other Information

The barn and the buildings to the left of the barn, in the distance, in Photo 1 are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagry (1983). The distance measurement tool was used to obtain the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 6 is the exact location where the barn once stood.

Tom Plimpton's location information for the barn was "US-40 east of Stilesville by about 1.0 mile." Location based on decimal coordinates and center of Stilesville is 0.9 mile.

For further confirmation of the location, view Photos 2 & 3 which are enlarged inset views of Photos 1 & 4. The house details and the basketball backstop are identical in each view

Photo 5 is a view from US-40 looking in toward where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.
Where to find it
