Other Information

Chad Wilkins was working with Bill Vint on preparing a feature for the upcoming Mail Pouch Barnstormer's newsletter, when Bill passed away. Bill had been in touch with the owners and he had asked Chad to travel to the site to get the photographs for the article. Chad had also been in touch with the owners in an attempt to purchase the Mail Pouch sign. The coordination with the owner ended with no resolution on the purchase of the sign. Chad dose not know if the sign still exists. Photo 5 is an August 2025 view of the side of the building with the sign; however, because of the foliage overgrowth it is not known if the sign is still there. Chad pointed out that this was originally a one room school building with the Mail Pouch sign on the northest side and sometime in the 1950's a shed addition was added to the NE side of the building and the sign was not visible for many years.
