Other Information
Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.
The barn, the buildings and the site configuration are clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1969). The distance measurement tool was used to determine the decimal coordinates for the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google Map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the exact location where the barn once stood. The next available Historic Aerials' image available is 1985 and the barn was gone by that date.
The only view of the barn shows the Mail Pouch sign on the south end. Because of the configuration of the barn to IN 56 it is possible that the was a Mail Pouch sign on the north end.
Photo 3 is a Google street view looking in at the site from IN 56. The Mail Pouch barn would have been located to the left of the white truck.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the left side of IN 56 (faces Campbell Rd) north of Bakes Rd. intersection, in Mt. Sterling, by 1.0 mile. North of the Main St. intersection, in Vevay, by 4.9 miles. The barn was on the left side of IN 56 headed north from Mt. Sterling. The Mail Pouch sign faced south. Black Background.
