Other Information
Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.
The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to confirm the location of this Mail Pouch barn. Photo 5 shows the site configuration and buildings as shown in Photos 2 & 3, Photo 4 is a rotated magnified view showing the Mail Pouch sign on the end of the barn.
The red pin on Photo 5 is the approximate location of the barn and was used to determine the address and coordinates.
ODOT # 8005-118-546, dated Mar. 28, 1986 shows that the Mail Pouch barn was gone by that date.
It is noted in the 'where to find it' description that the barn had one end painted with a Mail Pouch sign. Because of the barn configuration and proximity to the highway it is possible that the was a Mail Pouch sign on the west end of the barn also; however, this could not be confirmed with available photos.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the north side of US-20 east of OH-60 intersection, in Wakeman, by 2.7 miles. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed east from Wakeman. One end. Black Background.
