Other Information

Dennis Madia reported that this building was razed in June of 2014.

It appears that there were two Mail Pouch signs on the west side of this building over the years. The first sign, faintly visible at the top of the building and running along the top, is "Bloch Bros" etc. In Photo 4, dated July 11, 1946 there is a very faint view of lettering running along the top of the building. This is circled in yellow and could be the original "Bloch Bros" sign. In this view the Mail Pouch 'Pouch' is not visible. The Mail Pouch 'Pouch' was part of a later Mail Pouch sign painted over the original sign. Photo 6, dated June 13, 1965 the Mail Pouch 'Pouch' is circled in yellow. Photos 5 & 6 are from the Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives.

On Photo 7 (Google satellite image) the red pin marks the location of the building. This pin was used to get the address and coordinates for the building.
Where to find it

*GONE (razed in June 2014)* In Cincinnati, OH on Evans St. just south of intersection with Bengals Drive. Immediately south of the 8th St. overpass. Signs on west side of the building. One side. Original Background probably Black.
