Other Information Photo 1 shows the Mail Pouch sign as it was discovered in 1985 during the renovation of the building. The good news is that Jim Hale of the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society believes that the Mail Pouch sign is still there on the south side of the building under the new siding.
Photo 2 shows the Endres Boarding House, one of the oldest buildings in Grove City, Ohio. Built in 1854 and originally a stagecoach stop on the route from Mt. Sterling to Columbus. (Now OH Rt. 62). In the 20th Century it served various functions - boarding house, restaurant, saloon and bar. When it was renovated, during the Grove City Town Center development, in 1985 an original MP sign was uncovered. Photos 3-6 are photographs of a town mural showing the fancied original painting of the sign and Photo 7 & 8 (Google Earth street views), show the building today.
