Other Information

Photos 2 & 3 are earlier photos than Photo 1. These are provided to show that the Mail Pouch sign was painted in the 1950's and had been painted over by the date of photo 2 (1963). Photo 3 (1970) shows that the paint on the barn had started to fade and by the date of photo 1(1978) the old Mail Pouch sign had begun to bleed through.  As shown in photo 4 (Aug. 2022 Google street view) the sign was once again painted over and the barn redesigned to a residence with a door and windows in the Mail Pouch end.

Where to find it

*GONE* (painted over) Along the west side of Molly Pitcher Hwy (US-11) north of W. Baltimore St., in Greencastle, by 1.9 miles. The barn is on the left side of the highway headed north. The Mail Pouch sign faced north. One end. Originally black background.
