The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives (ODOT) were used to locate this barn. Photo 4 the Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow.
Photos 1 & 3 are from the Myron Huffman Collection #'s 283a &283b.
Photo 2 is a rotated and magnified view of the southwest end of the barn from Photo 4.
An ODOT image dated Apr. 24, 1962 of the northeast end of the barn shows the white of the northwest side of the barn and the black of the northeast end with the very top of the word 'CHEW' barely visible. Due to the very poor blurred quality of the image it is not included in the photo listing.
Photo 5 (Google satellite image) the red pin the the location of where the Mail Pouch barn was located. The pin was used to determine the address and the coordinates.
Photo 6 (US Geological Survey image) dated Apr. 13, 1994 shows the barn still standing at that date; however, the mail Pouch signs were gone. Any historical images after that date, in the Google Earth Pro program, show the barn gone and site cleared.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the northwest side of US-36 northeast of I-77 (exit. 65) by 1.8 miles. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed northeast from I-77. There was a Mail Pouch sign on the southwest end of the barn and on the northeast end. Black Backgrounds.
