Other Information

Photos 1 & 11 are enlarged inset views from Photo 2. Photo 11 is an interesting view of two people on the roof, one of the men is waving to the plane.

The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to locate the barn. Photo 8 the Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow. The house, which is shown in Photo 2 is circled in red. The site has been cleared and no buildings remain; however, an Oct. 2008 Google street view (Photo 7) shows the house, which was the only building remaining on the site by that date. Photo 9 the Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow, the house on the site is circled in red; and, the barn with the silos, along OH-95, is circled for reference with Photo 10 (Google satellite image) In Photo 10 the location of the Mail Pouch barn is noted by the red pin. The red pin was used to determine the address and the coordinates. The barn with silos, along OH-95, is circled in lime.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the east side of Columbus-Sandusky Rd. (OH-98) south of Mairon-Mt. Gilead Rd (OH-95) intersection by 0.3 mile. The barn was on the left side of the road headed south from OH-98). The Mail Pouch sign faced south. One end. Black Background.
