Other Information

new find and contribution by David Grimmer (Jan. 2022).

Two views in Vintage Aerial. (1) 1963 image (2-DLO-20) of the barn showing the east side. (2) 1981, very poor image (41-ELO-30) showing that by 1981 the Mail Pouch sign had been painted over.

Ohio Department of Transportation aerial photos were searched (1940's - 1980's) and the only view of the barn showing the Mail Pouch sign is Photo 2, which is a Feb. 1968 image.

The original entry for this ID # is an 'Owner Painted Tribute Barn' and is reloacted to the 'Mail Pouch in Other Places' Section.
Where to find it

Along the south side of Oberlin-Norwalk Rd (US-20), east of the Lorain Co./Huron Co. line by 0.9 miles. The barn is on the right side of the highway headed east from the county line. The Mail Pouch sign is facing west. Original black background. The word 'CHEW' is bleeding through the red overpaint.
