Other Information

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to located this barn. In Photo 5 the Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow and the house shown in Photos 2 & 3 is circled in red. Photo 6 (Google satellite image) the area where the barn was located is noted by the red pin. The pin was used to determine the address and the coordinates.

Reviewing other ODOT photos it was noted that in an ODOT photo 4583-1-5, dated Feb. 2, 1971 the Mail Pouch sign had not yet been painted on the end of the barn. In addition, the original house, shown in Photos 2 & 3, had been razed and removed. An ODOT photo 9711-7-306, dated May 31, 1996, shows the replacement barn (shown in Photo 4); however, the house had been razed and removed and the home sitre cleared.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the west side of County Rd 275 north of the intersection with OH-235, in Lakeview, by 1.6 miles. The barn was on the left side of the County Road, headed north out of Lakeview. The barn was very visible from US-33 (as shown in Photo 4). The Mail Pouch sign faced east. One end. Red Background.
