The Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to locate this barn. Photo 3 is a magnified view of an ODOT aerial photo showing the Mail Pouch sign in 1964.
Photo 8 is an ODOT aerial photo showing the site configuration and buildings as shown in Photos 2 & 4-7. The house remains and is circled in red. The barn has been significantly modified. The extension to the original barn, that had the Mail Pouch sign, has been removed. The Mail Pouch barn is circled in yellow. Note in Photos 2 & 4-7 that there was an earlier Mail Pouch sign on this barn; however, the Ohio Dept of Transportation aerial photos from 1940 and 1950 did not provide a view of the older sign.
Photo 9 (Google satellite image) the location of the barn is noted by the red pin. The address and coordinates were determined using this pin location. The red house, which still remains, is circled in red.
Note in Photo 7 that the barn had been modified and the Mail Pouch sign gone by 1983.
Where to find it *GONE*(razed and removed) Along the west side of OH-83 north of OH-39 intersection, in Millersburg, by 6.6 miles. The farm site was on the left side of the highway headed north from Millersburg. The Mail Pouch sign faced east. One side. Black Background.
