Other Information
Photo 3 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 4.
Although difficult to ID as a Mail Pouch barn in the Vintage Aerial photo alone, once Photo 2 and Photo 3 are examined along side each other, it is apparent that the roof damage is an exact match in each photo which confirms the ID of the barn in the Vintage Aerial photo and using the Vintage Aerial photos the exact location of the barn was determined. The barn, house in the site configuration is clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (ca. 1982). The distance measurement tool was used to determine the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 6 is the location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.
Photo 5 is a view from US-35 looking in toward where the barn once stood.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the wst side of S. Heaton St. (US-35) south of the Culver Rd. intersection, in Knox, by 1.1 miles. The barn was on the left side of US-35 headed south out of Knox. The Mail Pouch end faced south. The Mail Pouch sign faced east. Red backgrounds..
