Other Information

The entire area has changed significantly over the years. Streets have been removed or renamed. RR tracks have been removed. Road elevations changed. Building elements have changed. Houses gone. Retail/factory/warehouse buildings added. The buildings in the photographs, particularly the three row houses (one with the BD sign) show up on a 1917 City of Pittsburgh Property Map. It appears that one of the three houses remains; however, it can not be determined if the one remaining is the end house that had the BD sign.

Where to find it

*PROBABLY GONE* ('see 'Other Information') Rochell St. (now Rocky Hill St.) southeast of intersection with Hunt St. by about 150, in the Elliott Section of Pittsburgh. The house was on the east side of the street. The BD sign faced southeast. The photos are taken from Corliss St. just southwest of the Corliss Street Tunnel. One side. Frame house. Black background.
