Other Information

Photo 1 is an inset view from Photo 2.

Historic imagery does not show this building. The building was right at the river's edge just northeast of the suspension bridge. The building with MPS 48-24-13 is directly to the right and at the time of the photo had a Coca Cola sign instead of the Mail Pouch sign. The Mail Pouch sign faced northwest, facing the river. The GPS coordinates and the map location below are approximate locations for where the building once stood. They are based on existing or known reference points. 1) the existing remaining bridge pier circled in red in Photos 1 & 4; and, 2) the building with MPS 48-24-13 on it which was noted in Historic Aerials' imagery - 1955, and is circled in Photos 2 & 4 in blue.
Where to find it

*GONE (razed and removed)* Close to the Monongahela River's edge and northeast of the building with Mail Pouch sign MPS 48-24-13., in Fairmont. Masonry building. The sign background was black.
