Photo 3 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 4.
The Historic Aerials imagery (1973) was used to determine the location of this barn. The buildings and site configuration shown in Photo 4 are all clearly shown in the aerial imagery. The distance measurement tool was used and that provided the exact decimal coordinates centered on the barn. The decimal coordinates were input to the Google map program and in Photo 6 the red pin is the exact location where the Mail Pouch barn was once located. The pin was used to determine the address and the location information.
Photo 5 is a Google street view looking southeast along US-40. The building on the left side of the highway is the building at the left in Photo 4. The Mail Pouch barn was in the area on the right side of the highway. The area is now overgrown with trees and shrubs.
Where to find it *GONE* (razed and removed) Along the southwest side of US-40 (National Hwy.) southeast of the PA-381 intersection, in Farmington, by 3.0 miles. The barn was on the right side of the highway headed southeast from Farmington. The Mail Pouch sign faced northwest. One side. Black background.
