Other Information

Photo 1 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 2.

Used Penn Pilot program to get a better approximate location of the Mail Pouch barn. Photo 3 shows the Mail Pouch barn highlighted in yellow. The intersection and the hanger on photo 3 are circled in red and these features are existing in photo 2.

The barn is clearly visible in Historic Aerials' imagery (1955). The distance measurement tool was used to get the decimal coordinates of the barn. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 4 is the exaclt location where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.

Historic satellite imaging show the barn existing in 1962; however by 1982 the barn was gone.
Where to find it

*GONE* Along PA. Rt. 981, south of the intersection with US Rt. 30 (Lincoln Highway) by about 0.2 miles. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed south from US Rt. 30. The Mail Pouch sign faced north One end. Black.
