Other Information

While photographing the possible site of the barn on April 17, 2014, stopped a local man walking his dog to ask if there was barn in this location.  He confirmed that there was a Mail Pouch barn in this location and that it had fallen '15 years' before (although I believe it to be longer than that).  The foundation stones can be seen piled in the left side of my photo. The terrain from previous photos and previous direction given by the Shavers (as being across the road from the 'Casa Loma' - upon research found that the building across the road was actually previously called the 'Casa Nova,' now called the Beka House as of April 17, 2014) match that given for the barn assigned the ID of MPB 38-56-15. So this barn is GONE. - Ryan Eash, April 27, 2014

Historic Aerials imagery (1967) clearly shows the barn. The distance measurement tool was used and the decimal coordinates for the center of the barn were obtained. The coordinates were input to the Google map program and the red pin on Photo 6 is the exact location where the barn once stood.
Where to find it

*GONE* PA Rt. 985 (Somerset Pike) northeast of US Rt. 30 (Lincoln Hwy.), in Jennerstown, by about 4.7 miles. Just before the Roaring Run Rd. intersection. The barn was on the left side of the highway headed northeast. The MP sign faced northeast. One end. Black.
