Photo 2 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 3; and, Photo 4 is an enlarged inset view from Photo 5.

Photos 2 & 3 clearly show that in 1973 the Mail Pouch sign had a red background with 'shadowed' lettering.

Photos 4 & 5 show that the Mail Pouch sign had been repainted by 1987 and during the repaint the background color was changed to black and the letters were not 'shadowed'.

Where to find it

WV-9 (Hedgesville Rd.) northwest of WV-901 (Mary St.), in Hedgesville, by about 5.0 miles. The barn is on the left side of the highway headed northwest. The Mail Pouch sign faces north. One end. In 1973 the Background color was red. By 1987, after a repaint, the Background color had been changed to black.
