Other Information

In Photo 1 the Mail Pouch barn is barely visible at the right side of the view.

Photo 2 is an Ohio Dept. of Transportation aerial photo clearly showing the Mail Pouch sign on the southeast side of the barn in 1957. The barn is circled in yellow. The gas station is circled in red.

The Google street view in Photos 3 & 4 show that the building was still in use as a service station in 2007; however, by Nov. 2016 the gas pumps had been removed and the building no longer used. In addition, Kirk VanDyke's Mar. 2022 comment to the Monroe Co, Ohio (memories) Facebook page states that the building has been razed and removed.

Photo 5 clearly shows that the Mail Pouch barn had been removed by April 14, 1961.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the southwest side of Eastern Ave. east of the Main St Intersection, in Woodsfield, by 0.6 mile. The barn was on the right side of Eastern Ave headed east from Main St. Two Mail Pouch signs on the barn. One on the northeast end and one on the southeast side. Black background.
