Other Information

Photo 2 is a view of the Buckeye Candy & Tobacco Building, during the 1913 flood, showing a very early Mail Pouch tobacco sign. Comparing Photo 2 with other photos, very faded remnants of the original sign are visible along the parapet.

MPS 35-42-02 is on the south wall of the building.

MPS 35-42-09 is on the east wall of the building.

OH Rt. 13 (S. Main St.) in Mt. Vernon just crossing the Kokosing River headed north on the right side of the street. (Address is 400 N. Main St.) The MP sign faces south. One side (MPS 35-42-02). One end (MPS 35-42-09). Three-story brick building. Black.
