Barn was originally thought to be in Wirt county; however, searching the Historic Aerials' imagery (1962) the barn, and all of the other buildings shown in Photo 1 are clearly visible. Imagery dated 1984 shows the barn was gone by that date; howeever, the other buildings including the small building at the left foreground, in Photo 1 was still existing. The site has now been completely cleared of all the buildings shown in Photo 1.

Photo 2 is a 2023 Google street view looking in at the site. The location of the house is the approximate site where the Mail Pouch barn once stood.
Where to find it

*GONE* (razed and removed) Along the southwest side of Staunton Turnpike (WV-47) southeast of the RitchieCo./Wirt Co. line by 5.4 miles. The Mail Pouch barn was on the right sie fo the Staunton Turnpike headed southeast from the County line. The Mail Pouch sign faced north. One end. Black background.
