Other Information
Click here to see paintings of this barn as well as photos of its repainting in 1993.

Harley first painted this barn in November 1963. Through the years the barn fell into disrepair and the Mail Pouch signs faded (see photos 2-4, 21 & 22). The Lanesville Heritage Festival purchased the barn in April 1993 and restored it. Termite riddled support beams were replaced and doors and other damaged items such as the cupola were repaired or replaced. One of the most difficult aspects of the restoration was talking Harley out of retirement to repaint the old signs. He finally relented and in August 1993 he arrived at the site to tackle the job.

Photos 1-20 are views of the southwest end of the barn.

Photos 21-31 are views of the northeast end of the barn.
Where to find it
IN Rt. 62 west of IN Rt. 11 by about 2.9 miles. The barn is on the right side of the highway headed southwest. Two ends. Red.
